Piero Ruzzene is a creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi Australia.

He’s also known as Pez.

He acquired that name playing foosball when he was a part time DJ and sh*t receptionist at Saatchi & Saatchi 15 years ago.

He went from sh*t receptionist to digital creative there in a couple of years.

He was lucky enough to cut his teeth on award-winning work like UN ‘Voices’ and Toohey’s ‘Beer Relay’.

He then moved to B&T agency of the decade BMF in 2009.

He helped make Australia wear lucky undies for the Socceroos, built an investment property simulator for Australia’s biggest bank, got 100 Santa’s to surf for a Supermarket, charged batteries with the energy of football fans, sent a guy around the world in the name of beer and sent another guy to New York to live on $50.

He then ventured back to Saatchi & Saatchi in 2015 and has helped make famous campaigns and infamous ideas for Westpac Groupe, nib, Toyota, Cadbury, RSPCA and Ampol.

He has successfully pitched on Foxtel, Toyota, Dettol, NSW Department of Education, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne, which led to the opening of Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne.

He was made creative director in 2018.

He has a sprinkling of awards and finalists from all the major shows, including D&AD, Cannes, One Show and New York Festivals.

He has two girls, Rio and Olympia, who enjoy his cooking very much.

He’s an ok DJ.

He is still a sh*t receptionist.
